Proposal: clearer color codes edit

Right now we are mixing the meaning of colors between status (under construction) and type of reactor (PWR, BWR, etc.).

I propose to use the color only to indicate the status. The type of reactor is less relevant in the context of a timeline, and in any case the reactors are all BWR or PWR with only three exceptions. (A more relevant information would be the size of the reactor in MWe, which could actually be added in the form of the thickness of the lines)

This would also allow to add other color codes such as "temporary shutdown" and "decomissioning", making it much easier to understand which reactors are likely to start again and which ones have been shut down permanently (and when). Ita140188 (talk) 17:15, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Using three color (PWR, BWR, other) may also a choice. Indicating three types by using only blue is not affect so much to other line color. Ignos~jawiki (talk) 14:56, 20 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
But why do we need to specify the type? It is a rather arbitrary property to show here. Most likely, people looking at this chart were not looking for whether a reactor is a BWR or a PWR. Also because we are mixing status with type, we still cannot show the type for an under construction reactor Ita140188 (talk) 10:35, 21 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
I don't think especially reactor type should be removed but I'm neither agree nor disagree about it.
It may show that it takes a long time for BWR restart, but actually it is not so important the reactor type. Ignos~jawiki (talk) 15:26, 21 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
