Usage edit

Siam Fan, I think this shouldn't be used as a template placed in every article about Thailand-based English newspapers, as it's of little relevance to each of the individual articles. Rather, the timeline should be added to the Mass media in Thailand#Newspapers article/section. --Paul_012 (talk) 19:48, 18 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Paul_012, thank you for your comment. My objective in adding the timeline of English-language newspapers published in Thailand was to allow readers to easily link, in a visual way rather than with text links, the article with all the other closely related articles on the subject. I do not think it's of little relevance to each individual article but agree with the fact that it's not entirely relevant to the article. I'm going to follow your suggestion on this and add it to to the Mass_media_in_Thailand#English-language_dailies article/section and delete the template in every single English-language newspaper articles published in Thailand that have been created. I will instead replace it with a link to the timeline/template in the "See also" section --Siam Fan (talk) 18:01, 20 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the response. Linking directly to templates isn't quite how things are usually done, though. It would be more in-line with usual practice to link to Mass media in Thailand#Timeline of English-language newspapers published in Thailand, which is in article space. (Or, to shorten things, to link to Timeline of English-language newspapers published in Thailand, which I've created as a redirect pointing there.) --Paul_012 (talk) 12:10, 21 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Paul_012 Noted with thanks. I've revised all articles and they now link to Mass media in Thailand#Timeline of English-language newspapers published in Thailand.--Siam Fan 22:07, 21 January 2022 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Siam Fan (talkcontribs)

Error message edit

Why, even though there is an error message on the template page, the timeline is still shown properly on the page Mass media of Thailand? Also, why is there an error message now on this template I've created and that has always worked so far? Thank you for your help! Siam Fan (talk) 19:12, 9 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Could be a glitch in the system, seems to be working fine to me. Primefac (talk) 20:06, 9 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
