Picture

The picture is not Yin Mingzhu: it's Chen Yunshang 陈云裳. There is a gallery of Chen's photos at the Baidu encyclopedia website: [1] The source used for the photo at the WP article is itself conflicted: [2] It has identified two photos as being Yin Mingzhu, and only the second one is correct" [3] Invincible Asia (talk) 14:49, 5 February 2014 (UTC)

Hmm, that's a really tricky situation. Baidu is obviously unreliable here, as it uses the same picture on both Chen Yunshang and Yin Mingzhu's entries [4]. Hudong Baike also identifies the picture as Yin Mingzhu: [5]. In all fairness I do think the photo resembles other photos of Chen more than Yin, though not overwhelmingly so. -Zanhe (talk) 20:56, 5 February 2014 (UTC)

You’ve added a lot of information to this pre-existing article. There are a lot of very strong secondary independent sources that contribute very important reinforcements to this article. Make sure all links are working as the 5th reference link wasn’t working when I checked it! Also, make sure all claims are backed up by a source. For example, as a reader, while I do agree with the following statement you’ve made, other readers make require something to back it up as it could sound opinion-based: “Mingzhu and Duyu's relationship was unique to that of any other couple in the film industry. Traditionally, it was the director, or husband, that made the actress, or wife, famous.”

Another recommendation I have is using more links throughout the article. While you have already linked some key aspects of the article, by providing links to more articles, such as Dan Duyu or the Sino-Japenese War, you can give readers the opportunity to expand their learning even more to better understand the article.

Lastly, your filmography tables were very helpful in recognizing the diversity of roles Mingzhu has taken on in the film industry. Well done!

Great additions have been made to this article! Lead is strong and allows reader to know Yin Mingzhu's role in filmmaking aside from their role as an actress. The article has a clear structure and follows a chronological order that makes it well organized. Biography and Early Education section have received significant contributions but I would see if it is possible to add more information. This would allow the sections to appear more balanced. Content overall is neutral for sections that may sound a bit more biased or have an opinion I would recommend checking the sources properly or making sure there are references to these claims. Overall the sources given are reliable, independent, and guarantee the filmmaker is independent. In conclusion, the articles contributions are great and allow readers to find out more about Yin Mingzhu's role in all aspects of filmmaking. Fantastic work!
