Noted people section edit

I would like to edit the noted people section. It is far too long and not within the style guidelines of Wikipedia. Any thoughts? — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheKingLives (talkcontribs) 02:19, 15 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Page issue edit

I'm hoping to start a discussion on some of the issues affecting this page in hopes that they may be adequately resolved. As of this writing, the article relies too heavily on primary sources, needs additional sources for verification, and paraphrases too closely. I also wish to raise the issue of whether rankings by third-party publications should be included in the "Rankings" section.

Primary sources edit

I'm a little lost on how to fix this issue. I feel like certain sections such as history and current buildings/bulletins are best served by the institution's website itself. Thoughts?

Rankings edit

I'm of the opinion that rankings are not foolproof, but worthwhile. Featured articles discussing institutions of higher learning in the United States readily include rankings from U.S. News & World Report, Forbes, etc., and I feel the equivalent should be done here. I am requesting comments on the matter of the continued reversion of this section on the basis of whether rankings published by The Hollywood Reporter, Backstage, and OnStage Blog are unworthy of inclusion in this section, whether because it is in violation of WP:RS as a user has claimed or otherwise. Third-party opinions and outside opinions are greatly appreciated. If I have made an error in using this template I apologize. TheKingLives (talk) 19:39, 17 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

I checked the first ref, the NYT one which includes With perhaps the best reputation of any drama school in the country, on par or better than Juilliard and New York University - I'd say this was more of an accolade than a ranking. Wwwhatsup (talk) 08:18, 20 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
