Have just reviewed page and some bits were pretty outdated. I've found a few new sources too and think this needs a few more changes/updates. Tired now but will do so in coming days. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Piggyspider123 (talkcontribs) 09:04, 31 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Have deleted orphan box after adding links from other pages. Please let me know if this has been done inocrrectly as I am not an expert but learning. 130.88.48.151 (talk) 17:15, 19 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have just created this page. Xperedon is something a friend has told me about, and I thought as it seems novel and serious it warranted a Wikipedia entry. I have attempted to adhere to the Wikipedia guidelines and have read them very carefully. I have written the article very NPOV. That being said, I am fairly new so would welcome constructive criticism, and will be willing to help make the page as suitable as possible. Thanks! --Piggyspider123 (talk) 23:23, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I should emphasize that I think this was worth adding because I have not heard of such a system before - therefore I think the system seems relatively revolutionary and worthy of inclusion. --Piggyspider123 (talk) 23:25, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

    • Hi there - I think the issue with this article is that it has an overly promotional tone. That's probably because it relies on sources produced by the company itself rather than independent sources. Wikipedia has to be careful not to be seen to be promoting products or companies. Are there any independent sources about Xperedon? --Mkativerata (talk) 23:27, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi Mkativerata - I have heard about Xperedon before, but seem to not be able to find too much on the internet. There are some blogs/facebook/twitter things - is this of help? I obviously have no interest in the promotion of it - I'm just trying to create a page. Is there anything that can be done for me to make it sound less promotional? I did try whilst making it to ensure it was not promotional. Thanks. --Piggyspider123 (talk) 23:33, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • Hi again, unfortunately blogs/facebook/twitter generally don't count as reliable sources. I don't think you've meant to write this promotionally; it just reads and feels promotional because it relies on solely material produced by the company itself. This guideline cautions against the use of "self-published sources". --Mkativerata (talk) 23:36, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks again - I am appreciating your help. Is there anyway I could have 24 hours to find additional material and improve the page? I do think the concept is worthy of a page. Is there anything else I could also do in this time apart from changing the sources to make it sound less promotional? Thanks --Piggyspider123 (talk) 23:39, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks so much --Piggyspider123 (talk) 23:42, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Following Mkativerata's helpful discussion I have added an external source - and continue to look for more. --Piggyspider123 (talk) 23:56, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • Good job with the sources... I'm afraid I haven't been able to find anything other than the Geneva company listings you found. That might not be enough to save the article if it ever gets nominated for deletion at WP:AfD, but I'm not inclined to nominate it. Cheers --Mkativerata (talk) 20:43, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks - I appreciate it. I shall continue looking out over next couple of weeks anyhow. Best, --Piggyspider123 (talk) 02:08, 22 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
