• Oppose - X Tour has been where the Kyle article was in February, sources such as "KYLIE OPENS X TOUR IN STYLE" and the Kylie template box X Tour show that it is one of the ways in which that tour is referred to. There are in any case four X Tours by four different bands so I have converted redirect to Kylie to a dab. It may be moved out of the way if this RM decides Ed Sheeran's WP:CURRENT tour is the long term significance of X Tour. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:32, 26 September 2015 (UTC)

"Only article" is sorry irrelevant; how many times does the WP:DISAMBIGUATION guideline have to be stated? And "X Tour" is used by the Kylie Tour, the refs in the article show it in black and white. In ictu oculi (talk) 06:03, 27 September 2015 (UTC)

I see where IIO is coming from and I don't think this a completely straightforward case, but when Googling around all instances of "X Tour" seemed to relate to this article and of the other tours mentioned by IIO and the IP, none of them seemed to be referred to as simply "X Tour". • While websites and commentators referred to it as "X Tour", I can find no evidence that Sheeran, promoters or distributors ever gave the tour the proper name "X Tour". Instead, his announcements refer to tours by place and dates, and the inclusion of "x" comes from reference to the previously released x album (lowercase x at that). It is a tour following release of an album displaying a big "x", the album cover being used as illustration. http://www.edsheeran.com/news.htm and actual tickets and ticket websites contain no "X Tour" labelling. Indeed, there is also "'X' World Tour", clearly using a title font descriptive title, and the so-called "x" Tour has been extended, meaning the earlier named 2014-15 tour includes second tours of 2015. • Oppose "X Tour" is correct[1][2][3][4] but ambiguous. Relevant search results are primarily for this and the Chris Brown tour - which could be added to X (Chris Brown album) - but these are recent events so search results don't indicate long-term importance of these topics. – For clearer explanation as to why the Ed Sheeran tour should be the primary topic, look at the Google results for the tours of each of the other acts on the disambiguation page: [5][6][7][8], in comparison to the Ed Sheeran tour. Also, see I'm Not the Only One and (more recently) Taking Over Me for other examples of when the only topic with an article quite clearly has to be the primary topic. • Oppose and procedural close – Aside from the various topics explicitly listed at X Tour, there are lots of bands called "X" and lots of albums called "X" and lots of songs called "X" and lots of radio stations called "X" (see X (disambiguation)). A tour for any one of those would be called an X Tour. There are just way too many possibilities here. Also, I believe Wikipedia software cannot distinguish between "X Tour" and "X Tour", and it is way too soon to submit this suggestion after the RM that just closed that proposed the same thing. —BarrelProof (talk) 16:50, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

• Question again, how much actual discussion has gone into WP:TOURDAB? Because if that style is suggested then it runs counter to WP:TITLE and WP:CRITERIA. Current disambiguation is not overprecise because without "tour" normally could be anything. In this case the word Tour is in the title so not so unhelpful but overall Oppose removing tour from tour article dabs - what possible benefit to anyone? The Wikipedia:WikiProject Concert Tours guideline evidently needs wider out of Project discussion. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:28, 1 November 2016 (UTC)

First of all, this is written in a WikiProject page. If you consider that the writing of that WikiProject is incorrect, *you* must contest it in the WikiProject talk page first, and if you manage to remove such statement(s), you will have a point, not before. Second, having twice "tour" in an article's title is redundant and unnatural; I don't see how this goes against criteria and in general with wp:title: how is that "X Tour (Ed Sheeran)" is not understandable for a person, but "On the Run (Paul McCartney)" is? Third, we don't use distinguishers in the following titles: The Hill (Knoxville), El Universal (Caracas), King Range (Antarctica), Subway (Homicide: Life on the Street), thousands of etc., yet, all of these work because you even if don't have an idea what they are, the article text will do it, as recognizability suggest. Also, the additional "tour" goes against "Conciseness" and "Consistency" in WP:CRITERIA, which you are using to oppose. You better, with your own words and not copy-pastes of the guideline we can all access, explain how's that the proposed title is not concise, natural, consistent, precise, and recognizale enough. © Tbhotch^™ (en-2.5). 08:50, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
