A 3D perspective edit
I remember my days at Canadian Theological Seminary when I was introduced to this marvelous concept by our Systematic Theology instructor. After thinking about it, and having studied great minds like Blaise Pascal and Lancelot Hogben, I saw this idea of Wesley not in two dimensions but three. When you consider Scripture as the rule that rules, over the other three, the rule that is ruled, you get a tetrahedron rather than a mere quadrilateral. All I need here is a way to post it. What the quadrilateral lacks. edit
The quadrilateral is a good "system" for working through your own faith and theology. However, for me there are two parts missing. Yes scripture is primary, for that is where we begin our journey with God. From scripture we work through building our own faith understanding by her "level") with scripture.....and on and on in our journey toward God and ultimately true understanding. I think Wesley would call it moving on to perfection. But I guess we never quite get there! "Christian experience" edit
The phrase "Christian" experience is odd. I've never heard that term explicitly or seen it discussed in any detail. Even the rest of the article lacks the phrase "Christian experience." If it's simply a wording issue, I would like to remove it, unless someone has a reason for it to be there. Thanks. Ollie Garkey (talk) 17:49, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
Critical views edit
This article lacks critical perspectives against the quadrilateral ; for instance what about Christian’s who believe in sola scriptura they excludes reason or experience or the Holy Spirit ? That should be included for a comprehensive review 202.7.248.97 (talk) 15:00, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
