Wiki guidelines require that external links be kept to a minimum. One link to the Official web site is permitted and possibly one or two more if they are unique, notable and add information that could not be included in the article. On this basis I have removed today a few superfluous links that were outside the guidelines WP:EL. --Kbob (talk) 16:16, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Here is what I removed, left behind and why:
  • [1] Wendy Wall biography --Removed: duplicate of Official Web Site
  • [2] The Ectophiles Guide to Good Music -Professional review of published work, OK
  • [3] KRUU FM --Professional review of published work, OK
  • [4] The Valley Advocate, Northampton, MA. -Professional review of published work, OK
  • [5] Official website ----OK
  • [6] Wendy Wall on Whole Wheat Radio--Removed, it had no vital or unique information that is not covered on the Official web site. --Kbob (talk) 16:19, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Promotional Language

edit

Wiki is a place for neutral, notable and well sourced information. It is not a place for individuals or organizations to promote themselves. With this in mind I have removed promotional language such as this paragraph: "Ms. Walls’ densely textured voice, most often compared to such greats as Joni Mitchell and Sarah Vaughn, is the initial draw. The New York Review of Records calls her " A true bohemian chanteuse" Further listening reveals the full beauty of the written song and musical arrangement. The recorded projects showcase Ms. Walls signature ability to craft songs with a literary sensibility. Sesac Songwriter Magazine hails Wendy as an artist with “pure talent, timeless music, soul-baring lyrics and goosebump-inducing vibrato... depth and hard-won authenticity.” --Kbob (talk) 16:31, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
