Convert a Sprinter to a Crafter. edit

There are companies that import all the Crafter front end parts, rear doors, lights, emblems etc to the USA and other countries where the Crafter is not sold. The complete front and rear Crafter conversion kit from oemplus.com is over $4,000 Why anyone would want to hit their Mercedes, Freightliner or Chrysler with a VW Crafter ugly stick... ;) Might be worth a section in the article, written by someone who doesn't think it a crazy thing to do. Also note that the introduction does not list the sprinter as a competitor of this vehicle, although its (un)arguably a more popular, and probably better, alternative. Basically Transit and Sprinter. Everything else is just the loose ends of the market.108.233.86.84 (talk) 19:57, 6 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Merge Crafter article ? edit

It would make sense to merge the LT Mk.II section and the Crafter article into the Mercedes Sprinter article(s). VW LT Mk I (VW code LT) - was a genuine VW-MAN/VAG product The VW LT Mk II (VW code LT2) was a rebagded Mercedes Sprinter model W901–905 The Crafter (VW code LT3) is a rebaged Mercedes Sprinter model W906/NCV3 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.65.229.58 (talk) 23:56, 24 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Actually if you pay close attention it looks like its a Sprinter body, manufactured in the same facility that builds sprinters, but it has a ZF Friedrichshafen transmission and a VW engine. The sprinters still have Daimler transmissions and mercedez engines. Simplified, it just means its a common chassis/frame/platform, but with a different set of internals.108.233.86.84 (talk) 20:00, 6 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Split into first/second generation edit

The article does not clearly distinguish between the first and second generation. It would be helpful to split the article into separate sections with separate infoboxes as in e.g. Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Ford Fusion (Americas). ExcitedEngineer (talk) 23:50, 26 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
