Dieter Gerhardt was a South Arfican who spied for the Soviet Union. So, what does that make him? A 'South African spy' or a 'Soviet spy'? I claim it's the latter. This section was written by me on the basis of a series of article written by Shlykov in Russian, which I'd read a few years ago. It's a rough draft and I'd be glad if someone could add detailed references. Actually, the Telegraph article already linked to here (here is the direct link: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/politics-obituaries/8913985/Vitaly-Shlykov.html) has some information along these lines.
