Origin of the name.
editIt is odd that this article says that the bird is not named after the state of Virginia, but does not state the actual origin of the name. It is, apparently, left as an exercise for the reader... we can guess that the discoverer either was named Virginia or wished the species to be named after someone named Virginia, but can't decide among the two options or guess who this Virginia was. It is clarified here: https://birdsna.org/Species-Account/bna/species/virwar/introduction: "Virginia's Warbler was named for Mrs. Virginia Anderson, the wife of the discoverer and first collector, Dr. W. W. Anderson." Paalexan (talk) 11:49, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
