I've mostly translated this. I've marked in red the few passages I either couldn't translate or where I think my translation is quite likely wrong. It still has no narrative thread. I took it further myself, in a more patient mood, and dealt with everything except one paragraph that still throws me. It's not actively bad as it stands but... he's a writer, and there is nothing here to indicate what he wrote about, what his ideas were, or (other than being award-winning) why anyone would want to read him. -- Jmabel 17:43, 14 Mar 2004 (UTC)
