Lead section, 'creation'

As mentioned in the Universal Migrator Part 1: The Dream Sequencer article talk, the information utilized in the lead and 'creation' sections of the article are not referenced, but are indeed verifiable, in the CD insert included with the 2004 UM re-issue. Tittery (talk) 00:37, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Track times?

OK, so I got FotM (via torrent..) and the track times are way different, with exception to Tracks 1 and two.

Here's the track times the article gives:
01. 05:09
02. 07:45
03. 05:48
04. 08:43
05. 10:25
06. 06:05
07. 07:11
08. 06:12
09. 08:17

And here's the one I have:

01. 05:11
02. 07:45
03. 09:08
04. 12:25
05. 03:12
06. 11:46
07. 06:48
08. 02:45
09. 06:25

I have two theories about this:

a) Either the track times in the article are wrong, or
b) The guy who uploaded it reckoned that the songs ended at different times to what Wikipedia states.

So which one is it? I've currently imported the songs into Audacity to "re-correct" them.

It was probably me who wrote the times for this article, though I haven't gone through my contribs to check. I own the Universal Migrator two-CD package, North American release, and the times on the tracks exported from the CD are exactly what is written in the article down to the second. I'm thinking your torrented files are just inaccurate, though something seems amiss in that they'd be that far off. Bizarre! --Tittery (talk) 15:08, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

My guess is that the guy thought the track times were off and tried to fix them themselves or something; I noticed that "To The Quasar" actually started on the "Quasar 3C273" movement, using LyricWiki as reference. Considering that the "The Taurus Pulsar" and "Quasar 3C 273" movements do sound like as if they would be different tracks and the 3C273 movement is the only one of the two movements that has mentions the song title in the lyrics (or at least, I don't recall the title being said in the "Taurus" movement), I can kinda see why some of the track lengths are wrong. Assuming that's the case, I'll simply re-cut the tracks myself. It's a good thing that both the lists add up to the same amount, then I'd be really worried there. :P
