Needs Complete re-write edit

Total mess. Clearly written by a non-English speaker. Needs to be completely overhauled.

While I would agree that the article needs attention, I disagree that it's a total mess. You'll need to be more specific in what you would like to see addressed. Blaise Joshua 17:32, 22 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've got an idea - remove the remixes section. It looks retarded, she has like four songs and the remixes section is like ten pages long and includes every two-bit A/B and someone farting in time with the rhythm. Eli lilly 02:27, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
I would agree with you on that one. Any objection? Blaise Joshua 16:33, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
I gave it a bit of a cleanup/revision, but yeah, dump the remix section (except for any official remixes of course) Es-won 18:54, 24 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Done. I think this page is actually starting to look quite good. Well done all. Blaise Joshua 19:41, 24 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Party vs. Tthhee Ppaarrttyy edit

From what I've been able to find, there are track listings citing both titles of the Justice track as being "The Party" and "Tthhee Ppaarrttyy." What it looks like is that the import has the extended title, and the US version has the shorter title, perhaps? That's how amazon.com cites it, anyway. But iTunes has the longer title listed in its US store. So I guess the real question is...does anyone actually have a copy to confirm the title? Trimp 05:49, 24 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

The song is named "Tthhee Ppaarrttyy" http://www.coveralia.com/caratulas/Justice-Cross-Trasera.php —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.153.142.73 (talk) 02:45, 29 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

As far as I'm aware The Party is a dodgy remix of the more popular Tthhee Ppaarrttyy. 83.147.185.248 (talk) 07:24, 21 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree, her last picture was a really bad representation of her. I uploaded a much better picture of her, hope it isn't deleted.:) Gegojr (talk) 04:51, 10 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Where's the source saying she is a muse for French DJs?, edit

It's quite a bold statement to make so surely there must be a source for it.

http://www.nowtoronto.com/daily/story.cfm?content=174170

"She gave the impression she was too cool to be in there (probably was) and the audience took the bait and livened up. Her voice cut through the blurry beats from her DJ while her dances consisted of various poses that looked half bored, half Parisian chic. It almost had a Warholian feel to it. Speaking of which, she often gets labeled as a muse for French DJs, or some sort of art project based on the number of talented DJs supporting her." —Preceding unsigned comment added by YOUNAMEIT blaise (talkcontribs) 17:56, 15 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

People posting inaccurate information edit

This is really starting to get to be a problem on this page and it's actually quite irritating.

For example, in her Biography section, where it says she was born in Miami, someone changed "Anna-Catherine Hartley was born in Miami, but moved..." to "Anna-Catherine Hartley was born in Miami (a.k.a. Tallahassee), but moved..." And we all know that Miami and Tallahassee are two different cities.

Also, someone changed "Her first single, "Pop the Glock", after getting a limited promo release..." to "Her first single, "Pop the Glock", marryed youafter getting a limited promo release...", which doesn't even remotely make sense.

Someone also deleted two of her most famous singles from her discography (Hot Chick and In Charge) and then added "Robot Ouef" and "Steroids" to the singles section and neither of those tracks have ever been released as singles. So.... what would cause you to provide false information like that?

Regarding her "unreleased" song section... THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO PROOF AT ALL, WHATSOEVER that "Hen Fap (It's Something I Need To Have)", "Regulate" or "Rush" even exist. No one has ever heard any of those songs and I have searched extensively on the internet about the validity of all three of these songs and I have come up with nothing. As soon as someone can find a link proving the existence of any of these songs, go ahead and post these songs on her page, but not until then.

And "Pop the Glock" is BOTH a single AND an EP. The song "Pop the Glock" was the single from the EP release "Pop the Glock", which includes two other songs. "Pop the Glock" is even listed as an EP on it's wikipedia page and her record company's website.

Uffies beautiful x33

I really don't know why people are being so misleading on this page but it's very annoying. PLEASE PROVIDE ACCURATE INFORMATION AND SITE YOUR SOURCES!!!!!!!! Remember guys, we want hen fap. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaykeith15 (talkcontribs) 21:46, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Clean up edit

Whoever is currently editing the bio and articles related to Uffie need to stop right now and read the guidelines to Wikipedia. This is nonsense. Also, songs are listed as songs. They are released as singles which is another term for an EP. An actual EP would be something that have various songs listed instead of remixes of the same song of the single. Therefore, Hot Chick will be listed as a song when it's present and not an EP. Please read up on WP:MUSIC, WP:ALBUM, and most importantly WP:NPOV before continuing to contribute to this and related pages. If you need help, please ask. ♫ Douglasr007 (talk) 06:59, 24 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Miami-born, Hong Kong-raised, Paris-based edit

Now what is that? It sounds completely stupid. Can somebody please make a decision on what to categorise her as? I can barely stomach "place-born, nationality". However, "Miami-born, Hong Kong-raised, Paris-based" just takes it way too far. Depor23 (talk) 15:29, 13 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Genre edit

I've kept the genres simple and cited per "Template:Infobox_musical_artist". Adding extra genres that I can not see on that page that do not cite author, nor can I find how this other website follows WP:RS. Please do not add them. Andrzejbanas (talk) 19:12, 18 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Genre part 2 edit

I don't understand who keeps changing her genre to "Pop" " dance" "electronica". In online music stores, Ed Banger never, ever lists Uffie as any of those genres. More over, in numerous interviews and articles, Uffie always talks about her genre, and the words "Pop" "electronica" and "dance" are never listed. Her sound is extremely eclectic and is certainly more than such broad genres as "pop" and "dance". Obviously. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.87.71.139 (talk) 23:35, 21 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

You have to add citations from secondary sources. The ones you've added were fairly weak and there's no evidense to who wrote it or what have you. That's not good for an encyclopedia. Plus, it gets a bit peacocky when you start just listing several genres to try and describe an artist. I've left the two in for now that had stronger sources. I'm totally open for discussion however. Andrzejbanas (talk) 01:55, 22 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

I would hope that a citation of Uffie's official biography on the official website of her official record label (Elektra) as well as an article about Uffie from the BBC would be strong enough evidence to support her genre change to Acid house. I have other sources as well, if you would like. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.172.250.249 (talk) 00:02, 24 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed merge with Uffie discography edit

Her discography isn't extensive enough to warrant a separate article, consisting only of one album and one EP, as well as a few guest appearances and singles not taken from the main releases.

The Uffie alias has also been officially retired, so this is probably not going to change. Don Cuan (talk) 22:29, 14 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Agree, it needs to be merged. Karst (talk) 22:13, 2 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Not ended her musical career edit

The bio was stating that she ended her career in 2013, which is obiously not the case, because she already has new material out there. I removed this sentence. Greetings from Berlin — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:6:2125:3F43:41A0:CD4C:3A37:77FF (talk) 08:24, 20 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
