UFO 34 (yacht)UFO 34 (yacht class) – rather than being an individual yacht, this is a class of yachts, so the disambiguator should indicate that, similar to how other classes of objects have a classifiation indicated disambiguator instead of just looking like a particular instance of that. -- 70.52.11.217 (talk) 07:32, 15 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • @70.52.11.217 and John Cline: queried move request Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:49, 15 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • I disagree with this move primarily because the subject is sufficiently unique that it requires no parenthetical qualifier at all. I believe the article should be titled UFO 34 Just as S&S 34 is currently titled.--John Cline (talk) 10:18, 15 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Except that an undisambiguated name starting with 'UFO' sounds like a spacecraft rather than a water craft. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:49, 15 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support alternative move to "UFO 34" - unlikely to be mistaken as (atleast real) spacecraft as UFO is for alien stuff; anyhow disambiguation is not really for that unless there is real confusion. Galobtter (pingó mió) 11:16, 15 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment that's fine by me -- 70.52.11.217 (talk) 04:10, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support alternative move to UFO 34 as it is unlikely to be confused with UFO.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 12:45, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment when I created this article I was concerned that it would be confused with "UFO's" hence I added (yacht). This was based on Wiki articles using this qualifier such as Swan 38 (yacht) and Twister (yacht). Note that there are many other Wiki articles on types of sailboats that utilise qualifiers i.e. Sonar (keelboat), Topper (dinghy),Invicta (sailboat), etc. Ilenart626 (talk) 20:34, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose should remain as "UFO 34 (yacht)", refer my comments above. Ilenart626 (talk) 20:43, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Move to UFO 34. No disambiguation is needed as this is the only topic known as “UFO 34”. Ilenart626’s sailboat examples have disambiguators because they, unlike this title, would otherwise be ambiguous. It does not matter whether the bare title makes you think of an alien spacecraft: sometimes things have misleading names (e.g. sonic hedgehog is not a hedgehog and a tarantula hawk is not a hawk) but the explanation belongs in the article, not in its title.
