Re: 2006 podium issue

edit

I think it is important that the article references that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is only recognised as a state by Turkey. Without this information, there is no indication of why the event was controversial in the first place. Simply stating that TRNC is recognised by only one state is simply a statement of fact, putting the controversial event in context. I don't believe including it to be POV.

Speculation

edit

Turn 8 is probably the best corner on the track. This wickedly fast and long turn has been nicknamed "Diabolica", a play on Curva Parabolica at Monza. It is a quadruple apex corner with a load of 5g (5 times the acceleration of gravity) for 4 seconds. It is actually 4 corners joined together. Many drivers have found this to be one of the trickiest corners in Formula 1.

This is at the start of the article.

I feel it needs to be removed but always get blamed for doing so myself. If people agree, please delete. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.78.20.70 (talk) 11:05, 7 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
