I agree with BryceN that this post should be removed until it is substantially improved. No simple residential structure like the one described here and in the reference will ever be tsunami-proof! You are giving folk the wrong impression, which might cost them their lives during a future tsunami. Please remove the post as it is seriously flawed and the information is dangerous.
