Discrimination lawsuit

edit

I, and most people I know who have heard of Totes>Isotoner recently have heard about it in terms of the recent gender discrimination lawsuit. I tried, without being successful in the first place (I messed up a reference link--sorry, I was about to go to bed when I made the revision) to add information about that, and someone reverted it, saying it gives "undue weight" to information "appearing on a blog." However, this appeared in a column on the New York Times, referencing another opinion article, and it was an Ohio Supreme Court decision. I think this information is, if anything, getting larger than Totes>Isotoner in the first place, and certainly warrants mention on their Wikipedia stub. I'll add it again in a few days, correctly--if you don't discuss here, I'll consider it hostile reverting.69.94.192.147 (talk) 12:08, 5 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Totes»ISOTONERTotes Isotoner – According to MOS:TM, articles should "[f]ollow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting 'official'". The company's name in standard English formatting is "Totes Isotoner". The guillemet is an unpronounced special character that the company itself does not use in its name, and therefore does not belong. 76.118.227.30 (talk) 12:16, 15 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Article expansion May 2020

edit

I've now completed adding a more detailed company chronology to this article, largely based on contemporary newspaper sources. I hope what has been done so far will justify the article's continued existence, at least for the time being. I've also added a couple of items to the "Controversy" section to balance out the company's fortunes. Please feel free to add to, or edit, anything I've written, so long as it's supported with reliable references.Helmardine (talk) 14:34, 19 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
