Durango, Mexico edit

Needs disambiguating. City or state? Aille (talk) 17:35, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps it should be "Tom Three Persons"? I've seen this plenty. What's in'na name?

Two Different People edit

Tom Threepersons, the lawman, is not the same person as Tom Three Persons, the Calgary Stampede champion. There should be two separate entries for these two people. Please note the link to the Glenbow Museum website, which has a biography of the rodeo champion.

http://www.glenbow.org/mavericks/english/ranching/tom_three_persons.html The birth and death dates for these two men are different. The lawman was a Cherokee Indian from Oklahoma, whereas the rodeo champion was a Blood (Kainai)Indian from Alberta. I've added references that they are two different people. -Uyvsdi (talk) 06:43, 6 January 2011 (UTC)UyvsdiReply

to the author. i don't know how to edit, but as a member of the blood reserve 148 in alberta, canada i can say that this lawman person and outlaw tom threepersons is a different person from the blood indian tom three persons who was the calgary stampede champion in 1912 and the prestigious Glen Bow museum in calgary, alberta, canada has accurate records of tom three persons the blood indian from standoff, alberta and proves he is a separate man from tom threepersons from Oklahoma. -70.65.158.168

I assume the following paragraph is the one that should be removed since it pertains to the other Tom Threepersons:

In his career with the RNWMP, which lasted from 1910 to 1912, Threepersons was involved in numerous shootouts, once killing three suspects during a failed bank robbery attempt in Calgary, and later foiling a train robbery near Medicine Hat. In 1912 he left the force, returning to ranching, and also began rodeo riding. That same year he was proclaimed "World Champion Cowboy" in Alberta, winning the Calgary Stampede. He was financially successful in the cattle business, and spent eleven months traveling worldwide.

fraud edit

this mans entire identity and backstory was falsified but there's little to no articles or information on it available, so I'm not sure how to edit this page without it being rolled back for not having enough sources. I can tell you from my own research + blogs/posts by other people who've looked into this that there are no records of his stories nor anyone to corroborate them (you'll notice other characters in his stories conveniently tended to die), nor any record of him under the name "tom threepersons" until after the Blackfoot tom three persons became well-known. This guy wasn't a mountie and didn't go to Carlisle, at least not under this stolen name. the last name threepersons is not found in the cherokee tribe. He even at times pretended to be the Blackfoot tom three persons and claimed his rodeo accomplishments. does anyone have any idea on what to do here? Good.lvck (talk) 22:35, 3 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
