Release Date edit

To whom it may concern Release Date needs to be changed from June 30th, 2013 to Release Date: Q2 2013 there has not been a confirmed date from Publisher: Ubisoft Developer: Ubisoft Toronto for a release date of June 2013 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.128.173.187 (talk) 04:24, 26 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Release in EU is 22nd, not 23rd of August. (http://shop.ubi.com/store/ubiemea/nl_NL/pd/ThemeID.8605700/productID.251527400/Tom_Clancys_Splinter_Cell_Blacklist%E2%84%A2_-_Upper_Echelon_Editie.html) 195.241.35.98 (talk) 11:56, 21 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

CItation about Ironhide's displease with the direction of the series edit

I saw the page has a "citation needed" here: "Although clearly stated by Ironside in some of Conviction's developer diaries that he would not return to voice the character if the plot didn't present emotional depth to Fisher[citation needed], Ubisoft executives said that the change was made to take advantage of new performance capture technology(...)"

I remember seeing something like that in the dev diaries by the time Conviction was released, and I found this interview on youtube where Ironhide says it too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_t-IOqXS_Q

This one, altough a montage of videos, also depicts what is said there -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gL8aqy1z6c4

It's the very first question asked. If someone could add it to the page, and then replace if someone finds the original devdiaries someday. -- 186.204.36.34 (talk) 22:17, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Multiplayer Mention edit

The lead says that the game brings back "spies vs mercs" for multiplayer, and that the playing mode was introduced in Chaos Theory. Wasn't it introduced in Pandora Tomorrow? 161.225.129.111 (talk) 13:01, 23 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Technical Issues Section edit

This entire section appears biased and ill-informed. I do not feel as though it accurately portrays the launch of the game. Most games are released with some technical issues and almost universally, outdated drivers are known to cause issues with new releases. I recommend either removal of the section, or a significant reduction (summary) of the issues. I base this recommendation off articles of other similarly high-profile game releases which do not have such sections on Wikipedia.

Will take a look at this soon JAGUAR  13:37, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Initial comments edit

  • "It is the first title developed by Ubisoft Toronto, a studio founded by Ubisoft in 2009" - first title in the series or their first game ever?
  • "with praise for its level design, story, and multiplayer mode and criticism of dated graphics" - this sentence needs a break. Perhaps something like with praise for its level design, story, and multiplayer mode. However, criticism was directed at its dated graphics or something similar like that
  • "The "Spies vs. Mercs" competitive mode introduced in Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow" - should this be written out as just Pandora Tomorrow? It was done so in the lead
  • "In 2010, the series' fifth installment, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction" - again, this was abbreviated as Conviction earlier in the article. Not a big deal though
  • "On August 3 Ubisoft confirmed that the game" - comma in between "Ubisoft" and "confirmed"
  • Ref 58 redirects to GamesRadar

Once all of the above are addressed, this can be easily promoted.   JAGUAR  18:40, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Jaguar: Thanks for the review! I have addressed most of the issues you raised above. Blacklist is both their first game and their first Splinter Cell game, so I did not change that. Thank you once again! AdrianGamer (talk) 02:59, 9 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for clarifying them! Promoted, nice work   JAGUAR  12:47, 9 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
