Nope. Not even a little. Move it back to the COMMON ENGLISH Tiberius III. — LlywelynII 01:08, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

The sequence of events of his execution contradicts what's written in Heraclius (brother of Tiberius III). Here, it says that Tiberius and Leontios were killed, then Heraclius and other military commanders were hanged. However, the other article has Heraclius and his comrades dying in 705, some time before Tiberius. Can someone please investigate? Thanks. howcheng {chat} 18:45, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

Hi Howcheng. The situation is as follows: neither Bury, nor the ODB and the PmbZ (in Heraclius' article) say anything about the sequence of executions; indeed, as the PmbZ points out, we don't know the exact time of Tiberius' and Leontius' executions, which may have been as late as early 706. Heraclius and his officers on the other hand were clearly executed soon after the overthrow of Tiberius. In Heraclius' article I followed Treadgold, who goes by the later date for Tiberius' and Leontius' executions. In the present article, it is clearly a misinterpretation as Bury, as mentioned, does not make any such statement; he merely mentions the capture and execution of Heraclius and his officers after that of Tiberius' execution. I'll fix both articles right away. Constantine 09:22, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
@Cplakidas: Thanks for taking care of that. You may want to do the same for Leontios. howcheng {chat} 16:46, 11 February 2019 (UTC)

  • Tiberius III (Greek: Τιβέριος Γʹ, Tiberios III; Latin: Tiberius Augustus) Unlink both Greek and Latin because of common terms. Also do we know when he was born and when he died?
The links are actually from the language templates themselves, and cannot be removed; and no, we don't have his death and birth dates down to a point where it would be useful to put a (life-death) date part into the lede. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 20:05, 16 September 2019 (UTC)

Google Books uses the date of the book uploaded to it; WorldCat gives all the dates, the book is actually from 2010, but a 2012 book (reprint probably) was the one uploaded to Google Books. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 20:05, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
