Regardless of how Norfleet's racing licence was obtained, it doesn't change the fact that being the "first to receive" a NASCAR license is a correct statement, and it is correct to state so in the lede - it can be explained further down in the text, which is done, that it was purchased, in the Controversy section. - The BushrangerOne ping only 17:49, 25 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Why include it like that in the lede at all? The phrase "first to receive," while technically correct, makes it sound like an accomplishment. Looks much better to me now. The way you have it worded in the controversy section now makes it clear that both a) it's something she bought it rather than something that's awarded for meeting particular requirements and b) that that's how everyone gets theirs, which removes any real bias concerns. 89.100.71.14 (talk) 23:17, 25 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
I have made changes as well. Bandalero race cars are entry level, spec cars, related to the Legend cars that use snow mobile and motorcycle engines. They are not "stock cars" in any form, and are about 1/2 the size of a real stock car. I also added those 8 and up can race these cars. I also correct the "issued" license to "purchased" which is substantiated via the quotes presented from a March 25 article on ESPN W.
And, despite claims of racing since 2004, only the one late model race from August 2012, has any mention of Norfleet competing.
