Joke edit

hehe, the joke among orchestral musicians and music critics (if left for too long in the refrigerator, the Swan of Tuonela becomes the "Swan of Salmonella") is funny, but what is the use of it to the article? ——Nussknacker胡桃夹子^.^tell me... 21:58, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yah, I removed it. It's funny but doesn't really belong. Thanks for pointing it out, Antandrus (talk) 22:06, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Instrumentation edit

There are rather more instruments than just strings, harp, & c.a. I don't have my score handy but that correction needs to happen; I'll try to do so at some point but feel free to jump in. --Wspencer11 (talk to me...) 17:17, 27 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Piano score for The Swan of Tuonella edit

Could someone let me know if there is in existence a piano or organ score for The Swan of Tuonella.

Many thanks

There's probably many of them. I added the IMSLP link to the article which has one that's free to DL. ♫ Melodia Chaconne ♫ (talk) 16:12, 9 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Tuonela or Tuolena? edit

Which is right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.16.252.154 (talk) 00:45, 8 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Tuonela. Only Tuonela. Hve you seen it written any other way in a reputable publication? -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 01:23, 8 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Pronunciation edit

Could someone who knows Finnish please add a note regarding how to pronounce Tuonela? US radio announcers usually put the accent on the "ne", like Italian or Spanish, but tonight I heard an announcer say that Finns actually put the accent on the "o". Bhami (talk) 02:51, 1 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
