- ... that before releasing The Songs for the One, Shin Hae-chul would wear a bow tie and sing while listening to Frank Sinatra and heavy metal? Source: The Hankyoreh (article, quote: '원체 잡식성이라. 어렸을 때 과학자, 의사, 야구선수가 되고 싶듯이 하드록, 헤비메탈을 들으면서도 프랭크 시내트라를 보면 나비넥타이를 매고 노래하고 싶었죠.' "Just as I wanted to be a scientist, doctor, or baseball player when I was young, I wanted to sing in a bow tie when I saw Frank Sinatra while listening to hard Rock and heavy Metal.")
- ALT1:... that after Shin Hae-chul had self-produced his albums, he stepped down from the role for his only jazz album The Songs for the One? Source: The Hankyoreh, same as source for the first hook (quote: '25번째 앨범 만에 처음 스스로를 가수라고 생각하며 녹음했다. [...] 이번엔 프로듀서, 편곡을 다른 사람에게 맡긴 것도 보컬에 전념하기 위해서다.' "For the first time in his 25th album, he recorded it thinking he was a singer. [...] This time, the producer [Shin] left the arrangement to another person to focus on vocal.", and No Cut News (article, quote: '신해철의 이번 앨범은 프로듀서 자리에서 물러나 노래에만 전념한 것이 특징으로 6개월의 준비 끝에 만들어졌다.' "Shin Hae-chul's latest album was made after six months of preparation, featuring his resignation as a producer and devoted himself to singing.")

Overall: I have added two citation needed tags to the article: these need to be resolved before this can be approved. I am concerned that this hook doesn't directly relate to the creation of the album, as it is something he did in his spare time and not necessarily to draw inspiration for this album. I have suggested some alt hooks below. Let me know what you think.
ALT1: ... that Shin Hae-chul, who had previously created hard rock and heavy metal albums, was inspired by big band music when he created "The Songs for the One"?ALT2: ... that "The Songs for the One" was Shin Hae-chul's final album?Z1720 (talk) 01:01, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Z1720: If my first hook isn't interesting enough topic-wise and introduction-wise, I'll take your word for that. In response to you inserting the citation needed templates, I did cite ref. 2 on the sentence about one track dedicated to his daughter, then I completely removed the statement that The Songs for the One was his last studio album considering I couldn't find a source literally stating it (in Korean nor in English), plus, classifying his 2014 major project Reboot Myself's as either an EP[1][2][3][4] or a studio album[5][6][7] is disputed. Do acknowledge that this removal also entirely affects your ALT2. Your ALT1 hook is really interesting and would get clicks, though I could change it up a bit like this...
- '
ALT2'ALT3: ... that Shin Hae-chul, who previously made hard rock and heavy metal albums, was inspired by big band music when he made The Songs for the One?

- ...Or my ALT1 could be used — what is your input on it by the way? —beetricks ~ 💬 · ✉️ 17:33, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
- I relabelled "your" ALT2 as ALT3 to avoid confusing set preppers who will untimately promote this hook. My concern about ALT0 was not how interesting the hook was, but that it did not pertain directly to the nominated article. Since ALT2 is no longer cited in the article, I have struck it. Since ALT1 has been reworded to a new ALT3, I have struck the former. Article is now cited, so I will approve the article (officially) below.
- Approved, with a preference for ALT3. Z1720 (talk) 00:03, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
