I do not concur that this is an uncontroversial move. The film is about the First Opium War, referred to also as the Opium War, (hence the redirect). I am not convinced that the film is the primary topic of this title and would prefer seeing it vetted by a requested move.--John Cline (talk) 06:34, 12 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

I agree with John Cline. The primary topic is clearly the Opium War itself, not the movie about it. The war is going to be primary topic rather than the movie about the war, every time. Jack N. Stock (talk) 06:59, 12 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Comment: There have been several discussions over the years on what the topic "Opium War" should point to (see for example here). The issue of the film grabbing the primary topic has never arisen as far as I can remember. Philg88 ^♦talk 07:42, 12 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
