Proposal to split edit
To be split into separate articles for The Maids (play) and The Maids (film), please. Her Pegship 04:57, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- Good idea. Flapdragon 11:35, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
I agree, tho I'm about to stick a film infobox in the article, which can travel with the film side of things when it's split, mmmkay? :) High Heels on Wet Pavement 13:14, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- Until there's more substantial material on both, I think it would be better not to split. I agree that the disambig you describe will have to happen eventually, but while there's so little, any browser won't feel overwhelmed by their crowding together. DionysosProteus 04:20, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- I'm going to flesh out the information on the play, so I've implemented the suggested split. DionysosProteus (talk) 23:37, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Male Actors edit
In my copy of The Maids, a 1962 printing by Evergreen/Grove Press collected with Deathwatch a preface by Satre, it mentions that Genet had originally intended to cast the play with a cast of boys, but that Louis Jouvet convinced him to use actual females instead. Is this worth noting in the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.63.201.235 (talk) 04:02, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
