Simpsons

This movie was spoofed on an episode of the Simpsons, wher Mr. Burns hired Homer as his 'Prank Monkey'. Should there be a reference? Duomillia 16:25, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Per WP:Simpsons/Family Guy, all mentions of any cultural artifact, no matter how trivial, in any satiric cartoon show, must be referenced in WP. seriously, unless the mention in the simpsons is itself notable, we dont have to reference it here. i think we know that the simpsons and family guy will eventually satirize everything. mercurywoodrose.

Unused Skit

According to the Useless Tidbits for Episode 2, "Sex and Violence" of Monty Python's Flying Circus (The 16-ton DVD collection), the Mouse Problem skit was written for "The Magic Christian" and not used. Should this be included?Jtyroler (talk) 06:15, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

John Cleese and Graham Chapman

This sentence in the Overview: "Notable are the appearances of (pre-Monty Python) John Cleese and Graham Chapman (uncredited), who had written an earlier version of the film script, of which only the scenes they appear in survived." seems incorrect in part. It says uncredited, and just having watched it (on MOVIES! channel) I saw them listed as writers. I also see John Cleese on the Cover of the Video on this site (though I know this is much later). I hesitate to change or edit it though as it might indicate that they were uncredited in the original version. I think it may mean Chapman was not credited as an actor? Actors in film victims of film premise

I forget the article but it was pointed out that several of the actors in the film were pranked by their roles in the film to play agains statements they had made in real life. Yul Brenner said some anti gay things so was made to play a transvestite. Raquel Welch had said she wouldn't play a "scantly clad sex pot" again. But played the scantly clad sexpot dominatix mistress of the whip. Several others "sacrificed their 'principles'" for the money. 98.164.91.12 (talk) 16:01, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

"Homeless derelict"?

Is it nice to call homeless people "derelicts"? In the film, there's nothing particularly "derelict" about Youngman ("derelict" implying homelessness is a person's own fault). He isn't drunk, he isn't addicted to any drug, he's very polite and pleasant. He just happens not to have a home, which can happen to anyone, unfortunately.

Can we call him a homeless "man" or "person" instead? 84.67.116.161 (talk) 18:19, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
