Remaking the Lavender Hill Mob edit

How can a remake of the Lavender Hill Mob be distinguished from vandalism? - Kjb 19:51, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Audrey Hepburn edit

Um... Audrey Hepburn clearly says "How sweet of you!" to Alec Guinness during her appearance. That scene is on YouTube, in no way is it "unintelligible". She's not affecting a Brazilian accent, that's just her voice. Who the bloody hell changed it? --ExtraordinaryMan (talk) 16:43, 24 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Disappearance of the two hoods edit

The summary spends an awful lot of time "interpreting" why the two don't follow Pendlebury and Holland in the later part of the film. Actually it's probably just plot convenience. The two "professionals" would have solved matters while trying to rob the girls, while the current setup requires Pendlebury and Holland to use their wits, which comes out much funnier. Origin and references edit

Does anyone know why the film was given this title? Was it a reference to a real criminal gang called "The ??? Hill Mob"?

Also, was Hanna Barbera's "Ant Hill Mob" in the Wacky Races a humorous reference to this film? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.254.146.36 (talk) 11:11, 13 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yes, there was a real Lavender Hill Mob, largely involved in counterfeiting.--2602:306:3321:9A20:AD9B:2EF9:87A:38CF (talk) 13:36, 18 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Judi Dench edit

It would be interesting to know the names of the schoolgirls - the one in the front in the classroom scene looks very like Judi Dench . Posted by User:86.160.61.37 into article space.

She would have been 16 at the time, so it's not impossible. BMK (talk) 20:24, 18 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
