Combined episodes

The Flash II: Revenge of the Trickster and Flash III: Deadly Nightshade were actually just combinations of earlier episodes of the series. Flash II - "The Trickster" and "Trial of the Trickster" and Flash III -"Ghost in the Machine" and "The Deadly Nightshade".

No problem. I am glad to see you started a seperate page for the TV show. I am new at editing pages on Wiki and I am learning as I go. The early media sections for The Flash and Trickster before yesterday were very badly written. Prank had a bigger entry than the Trickster himself! At first I just re-worded some things than I realized it made more sense to combine the Trickster and Prank entries together into an overall description of the episodes. Which meant I needed to add more details. Avilos 10 January 2006

South Korea

When I was in South Korea in the 1990s, I saw that somebody had the nerve to make certain episodes into feature-length films that were shown in the theaters there. It was pretty neat, though, as that's how I saw four episodes when I was over there. In Europe, the show was still airing as "new" in the UK on some channel when I visited in 1994. Extreme Violence

I recently picked up the DVD box set of The Flash to show to my niece and nephews when I babysit for them. Before I brought it over, I figured I should watch the first episode, since I hadn't seen it since it originally aired. I was shocked. Over the course of the two-hour pilot movie, more than a dozen police officers are brutally murdered. This, on a prime-time show aimed at a family audience. Needless to say, I did not show it to them. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against violence on tv. Still, I've read The Flash comic books and they are never as violent as this pilot movie. The only death that's even necessary to move the plot forward is that of Barry's brother. All the rest were just there, and served no real purpose.Wyldstaar (talk) 20:07, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

==Home video: VHS and DVD== [[:Image:Flash DVD.jpg|250px|right|thumb|DVD box art for The Flash: The Complete Series from Warner Home Video.]] For over a decade after the series was canceled, the only episodes commercially available were in three VHS "movies," two of which were compilations of similarly themed episodes re-edited into a movie-length feature: The Flash – The movie-length pilot, which had been re-edited into two separate episodes after its initial complete airing. The Flash II: Revenge of the Trickster – A compilation of episodes "The Trickster" and "Trial of the Trickster", featuring Mark Hamill's turn as the villain. The Flash III: Deadly Nightshade – A compilation of episodes "Ghost in the Machine" and "Deadly Nightshade", where the Flash teams up with Nightshade (played by Jason Bernard), a now middle-aged costumed hero who was the protector of Central City in his youth. This third Flash VHS tape was only released in the United Kingdom (PAL format). The movie pilot was also released on the Laserdisc format in 1992. The complete series is available as a DVD set, released by Warner Bros. on January 10, 2006. Many of the original releases of the set suffered from a flaw on Disc 1 which manifested just before the final segment of the episode "Pilot", causing the scene to skip or freeze, and ultimately caused a return to the disc's main menu before the final segment was completed. When the problem was discovered, Warner Bros. corrected the flaw and issued "fixed" versions of Disc 1 in exchange for the flawed versions.

Merge with List of The Flash episodes

With just one season and not much information expanded, it should be logical that the main article should merge with List of The Flash episodes. With Category:Flash (comics) television series is currently underpopulated, might as well delete it and put two categories in its place:Category:Television programs based on DC Comics and Category:Flash (comics) in other media.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 20:10, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

Colour contrast problems

It seems that this article is using colours in the infobox which don't satisfy Wikipedia's accessibility guidelines. The contrast between the foreground colour and the background colour is low, which means that it may be difficult or impossible for people with visual impairments to read it.

To correct this problem, a group of editors have decided to remove support for invalid colours from Template:Infobox television season and other television season templates after 1 September 2015. If you would still like to use custom colours for the infobox and episode list in this article after that date, please ensure that the colours meet the WCAG AAA standard.

To test whether a colour combination is AAA-compliant you can use Snook's colour contrast tool. If your background colour is dark, then please test it against a foreground colour of "FFFFFF" (white). If it is light, please test it against a foreground colour of "000000" (black). The tool needs to say "YES" in the box for "WCAG 2 AAA Compliant" when you input the foreground and the background colour. You can generally make your colour compliant by adjusting the "Value (%)" fader in the middle box.

Please be sure to change the invalid colour in every place that it appears, including the infobox, the episode list, and the series overview table.
