Move? edit

As this genus is the only member of the Tetracarpaeaceae family, shouldn't it be moved to the family's title instead of the genus? Smartse (talk) 17:04, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Do not move edit

In the section on naming plant articles, WikiProject Plants has adopted the convention that monogeneric families should be covered under the name of the single genus that they contain. It seems easier to do it this way for reasons that are, admittedly, more psychological than logical. For example, the genus name is shorter. Also, only one family name can be derived from a genus name, but given a family name there are usually several possible genus names that it could have been derived from. 128.171.106.205 (talk) 01:06, 9 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
