3 suggestions edit

Hey, the 3 suggestions I have are:

  • First Image located under the title
  • Table of contents locate under the title
  • For your own image, please be more careful and make it more realistic.

Review from Christy edit

Hello Roberta! Here are some suggestions for your page ;)

1.The photo of named The Aravalli Mountain Range should be put under the title and content.

2. The GIF of the evolution Aravalli and Delhi orogenies is a bit too fast which readers cannot get all the information clearly. You may make it slower and add number to each steps at the corner of your GIF so readers could know the order of each picture in the GIF.

3. You may add more annotations to your images in the GIF to make it clearer. For example the yellow and purple shapes appeared between the two cratons.

4. You may separate the evolution disgram of Aravalli and Delhi orogenies into two GIF, as they are two distinct episodes. It might be easier for readers to understand.

Peer review from Ron edit

Dear Roberta,

Nice work, here are few suggestions which you may consider:

  1. A geological map can be shown to illustrate the subdivision of the Indian Shield.
  2. I think a section called "Settings of Indian Shield" can be added, where you can introduce the Indian Shield briefly. The page you linked is not that informative.
  3. There are few areas that are not well cited. For example: the last sentence of the first paragraph of Delhi Orogeny.

Cheers, Ron

Review from Jup :DDD edit

Here are some minor suggestions for your page:

1. For the part "Geology of the Aravalli Mountains", you may want to make a very simple stratigraphic column of groups, sub-group formations and the time of event. It may help your readers to understand the flow of geological history in a few second by the diagram before reading the detailed text.

2. For the diagram "Columbia supercontinent", "Rodinia supercontinent" and "Gondwana supercontinent, you may want to enlarge the size, as it is too small and very different to read (on desktop screen).

3. You have mentioned about different rock types in your page. You may want to add links to the related wiki pages, so the reader can find out more about it!

Review from Jenny edit

1. In the section of ‘Four phases of tectonic evolution’, should the sub-titles match with the four phases listed at the beginning?

2. You may add more explanation on why the orogeny evolution has changed from rifting to subducting repeatedly. The graphics are well-made though!

3. It looks like diagram (3) and (4) are focusing on different locations nearby, it may be clearer to state where is (4) relative to (3).

Good job!

Review from Lydiaa edit

The evolutions diagrams look pretty, but I think you can add more image description, especially how rifting change to subduction. And they are of six stages, why don't you separately introduce each stage?

The last part about supercontinent is interesting, but can you make th map bigger?

The geological map labels doesn't help readers to understand your text, ,maybe you can categorise in a new way?

Please help with enhancements edit

Dear all,
Thanks for contributing to the Tectonic evolution of the Aravalli Mountains. I am not a geologist and I am learning as I go along, I wrote the similar section on Aravalli's geology from a layman's perspective with descriptions in brackets, etc. Please help by reviewing and enhancing/editing my work here >>> Aravalli Range Geology. Thanks.
