I removed the statement that the Te Deum was composed for the Mass; of course it's not part of the Mass. I remember reading that it was comissioned for a civic celebration, but I don't have a reference handy. (Anybody got a New Grove?) BPMullins | Talk03:14, 25 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
