Vandalism?

Ms Millay is both a Missouri and an American politician, and as such deserves listing in both categories. User:Skarl_the_Drummer keeps deleting one of these categories. Admin ruling will be requested. -- Davidkevin (talk) 19:11, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

I created the original article, and have carefully improved it several times. Your accusation of "bad faith" is itself bad faith, gamesmanship, not legitimate. Yeah, my computer timed-out because I hadn't written something in that window recently enough and didn't notice until after I made the entry, whereupon I logged back in and corrected the correction so that it would properly be credited. (How horrible of me!) So you were violating AGF from the start.

• Third opinion The Category:American politicians inclusion criteria says that, when possible, pages should be moved to subcategories broken down by state, in order to avoid overpopulating the category. Notability?

Being a failed third party candidate with no other source of notability makes me wonder whether this page passes WP:N, particularly WP:POLITICIAN. As there seem to be a number of editors interested in this page, I don't see the need to give it an ugly tag as of yet ... Ray (talk) 14:59, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

There is indeed a notability question here. For example, election of Marshal in a small municipality (in this case one with a population < 1000) does not meet WP:POLITICIAN, nevermind that there's no source. Failed election bids, of which there are many discussed in the article do not qualify either. The notability tag is entirely appropriate.
