Sakamoto Culpability

edit

It is a bit of a stretch to say that TBS "took part in" the Sakamoto murders. This sounds like TBS was an accomplice in the murders. In reality, TBS violated journalistic ethics by showing the Sakamoto interview to Aum members. Aum proceeded to murder the Sakamotos a few days later. But TBS did not show the video to Aum with the purpose of killing the Sakamotos. It was to curry favor with Aum. TBS committed no crime. TBS made an unwise decision for which it should be scorned. But TBS did not knowingly or willingly participate in murder. --Westwind273 (talk) 05:21, 14 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sounds like criminal conduct by US standards. Felony reckless endangerment. It also sounds like a massive civil suit waiting to happen. Is there anyone who can sue on behalf of the dead? Relatives left? 2605:A000:1301:A37F:C544:AEB4:5A7D:94E7 (talk) 01:03, 30 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
