– The primary topic is the music by Stravinsky, based on the logic that the ballet was based on the music, and also a simple Google search shows me more hits in the first few pages of search for the music than for the ballet. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 12:01, 7 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • ... that choreographer George Balanchine completed the ballet Symphony in Three Movements in a week, despite its complex choreography, intricate music and large cast? Source: "Given the pressures of the Stravinsky Festival, Balanchine created the ballet – with its complex score, large cast and intricate construction – in a single week." ([1])
    • ALT1:... that George Balanchine made the ballet Symphony in Three Movements for the New York City Ballet Stravinsky Festival, a tribute to the composer following his death? Source: "Much the same can be said of a later Russian composer, Igor Stravinsky, who is being honored this week with a festival created by the New York City Ballet... In the Stravinsky festival, the entire cross section of his music Is being reviewed, starting with “Firebird” (choreographed by Mr. Balanchine and Mr. Robbins), going through such examples of Stravinsky neoclassicism as the Violin Concerto and Symphony in Three Movements and taking a look at such serial products of the composer's last years as “Requiem Canticles” and “Movements.”" ([2])

5x expanded by Corachow (talk). Self-nominated at 21:41, 10 April 2021 (UTC).Reply

  • Starting review. Zeete (talk) 17:27, 16 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Expanded five times per DYK check (also checked without quotations), new, long enough, cited, neutral, Earwig reported ok (mainly quotations), QPQ done
Both hooks interesting, length checked ok, cited. I prefer ALT1, links to Stravinsky.
