In-laws as matchmakers

edit

'Svaty' indeed has historical meaning 'matchmakers' - because marriage used to be organized by parents of groom and bride - but here it means just relatives by [their children's] marriage. I hope English term 'in-laws' is correct here; i tried to correct the text accordingly. In some places, when point of view is from their grandchildren, just 'grandparents' might be even better?
