Which English convention of spelling?

edit

Which convention of English is this article supposed to use: U.S. English, Canadian English, or Australian English? This article presently uses non-American English spelling. I haven't played this game since the early 90's, so I have no idea which convention of English the game used.
The game was published in the U.S., with U.S. and Canadian hockey cities, by a company that had been founded by an Australian entrepreneur.

One thing I definitely remember and absolutely hated about this game: penalty whistles are 100% random. The game makes no distinction between a legal play and an illegal one; only what action triggered the penalty, so as to assign a related reason. My character spent a lot of time in the penalty box.
