This article needs to tell people how to avoid this and the Callahan Tunnels - you can not rent a car at Logan IAP without going through these tunnels unless you plan carefully in advance and this and Callahan Tunnel article should help people to do that. The alternative with one rental car firm is $25 charge for the privilege of having an EZPass transponder in the car plus the tolls. That is highway robbery. The other solution is rent the car outside the airport, but that becomes really complicated as well.
I am going North on 1A but that can be really time consuming. I am also trying establish a Pay by Plate account, but that can not readily be done without a vehicle license number.208.106.32.145 (talk) 01:54, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
