"a silicon mat" - are you sure this is correct? silicone sounds more likely.
Agreed-- I've changed it. A quick Google search turns up numerous examples of Silpat mats being used for pulled sugar production. Also, the use of pure silicon in cooking is unheard of. Oskay 18:50, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I doubt that "Rock sugar" is commonly understood to mean this obscure type of candy. This article describes a technique for creating a pumice-like candy using sugar and royal icing. I can't find any sources for this technique other than this blog post https://celticarcherelf.blogspot.com/2009/02/sugar-sculptures.html which seems it may be the main source for most of this article, despite being an un-cited blog post. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.54.216.132 (talk) 18:49, 6 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

I would like to suggest that it might be appropriate to add a link in the article to CandyFab, possibly along with a sentence about new and/or experimental sugar sculpture methods.
