Banana Books edit

Relying on very little data I have tried to explain the "Banana Books" class that includes this book. That is not or not simply a Heinemann imprint, if i understand correctly, for this book has been a Red Banana from Egmont (2001) as well as a Yellow Banana from Heinemann (1985) --and in the U.S., some Banana Book from Barron's (1989).

Does this represent some branding developed by educators and used by multiple publishers? If so, does it have transatlantic meaning?

The explanation of Banana Books helps (should help) to refine the audience for this book, where the coarse distinction is between "children" on the one hand and "teens" or "young adults" on the other.
