Fiction

Publishing one short story in the Magazine's entire history amounts to, in my estimation, an exception, not a rule. Starlog is not realistically characterizable as a publisher of fiction. Starlog is definitely still published; I don't know where that rumor started. As I write this, issue #350 is on the newsstands, #351 is advertised on the Starlog Web site, and #352 is announced in Previews magazine. --JZ 17 September 2006

Although I haven't personally bought an issue since the magazine crested the $10 Cdn. cover price threshold (that was about 5-6 years ago) the magazine is definitely still being published as far as I've heard. Retail

Starlog, as far as I'm aware, is no longer for sale. They seem to have gone out of publication in 2009. They do, however, have an archive available for free with all the different issues on the Internet Archive - https://archive.org/details/starlogmagazine is this something that I could add to the page? I've been thinking about adding a section as well about some of their returning writers. Thoughts? Lilypad96 (talk) 15:19, 10 November 2016 (UTC)

Your edits look great overall! I think the main thing to address would be to add citations in the Bankruptcy and Editors sections. Also, since the Editors section is so short, I think it might work as a sub-heading under History better than as its own section. I don't think you wrote the Related Magazines section (though I could be wrong), but if you have the time it'd be cool to add citations there too! Your writing is very clear and professional throughout, and the information you've added is all relevant, informative, and neutral.

Thanks! I added a couple of sources to the bankruptcy section, but when I looked to find a source to the editors section (which I only edited a tiny bit - highlighting that McDonnell was the FINAL editor of the magazine since it has since ended) I found that this section is taken from a fanlore wiki page about Starlog. Idk if I should delete the entire section since I couldn't find a source for it or just leave it, but I definitely like the idea of it as a subsection of "History", so I made that change. Thanks!
