Fair use rationale for Image:StarTrekComic2001.jpg edit

Image:StarTrekComic2001.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:32, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed merge of Draft:List of Star Trek comics into Star Trek (comics) edit

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
To delete draft rather than to merge; content is redundant to other articles. Klbrain (talk) 05:19, 30 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Draft appears to be longer than this article and may expand it. Robert McClenon (talk) 15:02, 7 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Draft requires more work before any potential merge. Thosbsamsgom (talk) 09:43, 9 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Could you be more specific about what improvements you think the Draft needs? (Assuming the contents of the contents of the two articles get merged, in addition to that.) Ideally if you could add a short list on the Draft talk:List of Star Trek comics, but if you prefer to reply here I suppose I can always make a copy/checklist over there later. The Draft lists seems about Start class to me, although there aren't references there are ISBN to WP:VERIFY most things.
As I mentioned on the Draft talk page Rdzogschen (talk · contribs) who created the draft seems to have retired and it would be a shame to see the work on the draft go to waste so the Merge suggestion was a great idea. I think the contents of this article should be merged and redirected to the List article rather than the other way round, even a list article should include some explanatory prose. If were going to do some work on the article, my intention would be to add to the long draft list rather than this short article. -- 109.76.205.45 (talk) 01:36, 10 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
I think I'm starting to see the bigger problem, there are lots of different Star Trek Comics articles, with varying amounts of detail and redundancy. -- 109.76.205.45 (talk) 01:59, 10 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Comment: I'm leaving notice that I copied the IDW content from Draft:List of Star Trek comics over to Star Trek (IDW Publishing). I first reorganized the content in my sandbox and then updated it (ie. added in missing series, etc). Sariel Xilo (talk) 23:00, 10 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Given that the useful material already exists elsewhere, content has been copied elsewhere, merging the draft would only worsen the duplication/overlap problem in main space. I hence suggest deleting the draft (redundant). Klbrain (talk) 07:57, 25 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
