Name

It's developed by a US company, published by a US company, and was published in the US two months before it got released anywhere else. So why isn't it at the US name? We do this for games published by European companies. The only reason I can think of the article not being at the correct name is that some misguided European editor wants it at the European name. It's developed by Black Rock, a studio in Brighton, England. Also, as far as I know, it's published as "Velocity" everywhere apart from in the US so it's a more common name. Hope that's not too "misguided" for you? :) Chimpanzee - User | Talk | Contribs 06:55, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

What is the deal with name though? Actually in-game, the name is clearly just Split Second. It's only on the packaging that "Velocity" shows up. Was it an afterthought about Split Second becoming a potential franchise? Cardinal Wurzel (talk) 21:07, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

PC Version download only? Says who?

Deletion of important information

Article accuracy

One point in particular: aeroplane crashes. Having completed this game I can safely say there was not one single aeroplane crash. Lots of explosions and parts being flung around, but no actual 'plane falling from the sky. My version is for PC - is the game not the same across all distribution formats? Thank you very much for the video link - it explained a lot. The level in question is "Airport Terminal" and you're absolutely correct; there is indeed a plane crash. What isn't clear is that it requires two level 2 power plays - one to change the course and the second to summon the plane. As it appears in the video that both are summoned by AI rather than the player, it took me a few runs to figure it out. Having never done both before in a race, I'd not seen the plane crash before.
