Cleanup

edit

I'm keen to clean up this article, please add any references to the page you have or list them below and I will be happy to add them. I am sure with a bit of work we can make this a quality article. Icemotoboy (talk) 00:02, 26 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

why were all the images deleted? what kind of copywrite rules have they broken? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.228.156.10 (talk) 09:01, 12 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

deletion of images #2

How did ANYBODY come to the conclusion that the images were copyrighted? Has ANYBODY contacted the manufacturer to check? Has the manufacturer contacted Wikipedia and asked for a removal due to copyright infingement? I have a bad feeling that the decisions in this case are arbitrary and unprofessional. Is Wikipedia turning into a one-man show wheere decisions are taken by flipping the coin (or based on subjective irrelevant preferences)?

I remember that the article was VERY informative and seeing that some people here are "KEEN" to "clean it up" without ANY visible reason looks to me like malicious vandalism or pure ignorance. The previous article had all the information anyone needed about the game and the brutal "cleanup" here looks like a rape of the facts. Now the article is nothing more than a poor excuse for information. WHAT IS HAPPENING AT WIKIPEDIA? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.172.219.235 (talk) 10:17, 12 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Now I see that a decent soul has restored the previous content (sans images, mind you). I truly hope the images will be up soon too and their origin and copyright will be throrughly and professionally checked before being so brutally and irresponsibly removed under the libelous allegations of "copyright infringement". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.172.49.11 (talk) 07:43, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately, I cannot upload images to wikipedia. therefor we will need to wait for the cooldown period in order to be able to fix the damage done by a trigger happy mod... maybe a good person from the wikipedia or SSM communities will have the proper permissions to help out with it.. either way I am now watching this page, so next time someone tries to be over-protective of copyrights I'll have time to respond (I guess every thing here has some sort of a appeal comity). Beautiful pictures! Now I hope that before deleting them, this time the wikipedia staff will not be lazy and that they will actually do their job and verify if the screen grabs are copyrighted or not. BTW, there is no copyright on games screen grabs unless they were copied from the developer's website or from a specific person. For as long as you took those screen grabs yourself, you are in the clear. The proof of copyright infringement is on wikipedia, unless of course, a third party contacts them with a suitable proof that he/she is the copyright holder. In that case you are in trouble. Actually, if wikipedia claims that you are infringing somebody's copyright, and they are wrong, they may be counter-sued for libel, and since it is very easy to know who is placing these claims, it is also easy to sue the person(s) individually. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.250.204.152 (talk) 13:57, 17 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Great screenshots. The article is looking much better. Only tip I have is possibly the mission list is a bit cumbersome. Perhaps turn it into a table? I might give that a go if I get a chance and see how it looks. I'll keep an eye on the page and revert any deletes of the screenshots that I see. Icemotoboy (talk) 22:19, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
