To merge Shugo Chara Egg! and Guardians 4 to List of Shugo Chara! soundtracks per WP:MERGEREASON 1, 2, 4. Klbrain (talk) 08:46, 21 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

While cleaning up Shugo Chara Egg! and Guardians 4, I noticed that information about both groups had already been parroted on Shugo Chara! and List of Shugo Chara! soundtracks (see WP:MERGEREASON 1, 2, 4). The latter article can be reworked to include charting info and discography tables. Furthermore the groups has no notability outside of performing Shugo Chara!'s theme songs and appearing on the show (see WP:NMUSIC #10), and they were made as a collaborative project group only. lullabying (talk) 03:50, 27 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Merge - Per nom. Shugo Chara Egg! and Guardians 4 are just short articles whose notability is derived purely from the anime. Unless better sourcing is found, they can be included on the soundtrack list instead. Behindthekeys (talk) 19:03, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Strong oppose. The bands are notable per WP:BAND #1, #2, #6, #11. Shugo Chara Egg! had 2 singles on the national chart, and Guardians 4 even four. As for #10 that you mentioned, it says "if [#10] is the only claim [to notability]", which is not the case here.
And by the way, these articles exist in 5 and 8 other languages, respectively.
As for the List of Shugo Chara! soundtracks, it's a really awful page that should be completely reworked. As far as I can see, it was created by copy-pasting from many already existing articles. (Look at the articles on separate songs, the author simply copy-pasted infoboxes and lead sections from there.) --Moscow Connection (talk) 08:19, 26 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Now I've decided to open the articles and compare them with the article on the anime and the list. And what do I see? The article on the anime and the list contain little to none information about the bands. The merge rationale is simply misleading. --Moscow Connection (talk) 09:02, 26 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
    • It doesn't matter if it has articles in other languages since the English Wikipedia isn't required to follow that format. There's no reason for these articles to exist when all their musical releases have already been listed on List of Shugo Chara! soundtracks and the activity of both groups only really related to Shugo Chara! with no notability outside of it. lullabying (talk) 22:55, 28 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
    • Basically in both band articles, all that is listed is when they released each CD -- that's already listed on List of Shugo Chara! soundtracks. The information about Shugo Chara Egg! showing up in the live-action parts and musical are also in Shugo Chara! already. lullabying (talk) 03:07, 29 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Notified WP:MANGA and WP:ALBUMS for more input. starship.paint (talk) 13:23, 26 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
