Suggested Athletics section split edit

It appears the athletics section was recently suggested to be split into Shorter Hawks. While it is acceptable for college athletic departments to have separate articles (esp. at the Division I level and larger athletic departments in DII and some DIIIs), the section here is still relatively small and really the only part split is the detailed list of sports. I would suggest waiting at least until the NCAA confirms Shorter into the NCAA Division II transition process in July 2011. Bhockey10 (talk) 05:05, 6 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

AAU Membership edit

While the Shorter website says it is a member, the AAU website just not list them. It was removed for being inaccurate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aurocker49 (talkcontribs) 16:59, 2 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

2012: Anti-Gay Pledge Causes Faculty To Quit In Droves edit

"A university in Georgia is bleeding faculty after adding a new section to employee contracts last October. The "Personal Lifestyle Statement" requires employees to reject homosexuality, premarital sex, adultery, drug use and public drinking near campus. It also mandates that staff be active in a local church."

A kind reminder edit

Those who are periodically purging this page of all recent history are kindly reminded to focus on improving its content with all Christian love rather than expurgating it. Thank you. Dailyboth (talk) 02:20, 26 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Saveourshorter.com, FOAMS, SOS on the Web, Morality in Education edit

Those who are periodically binging on this page all their own idiosyncratic, subjective, and solipsistic histories and interpretations are kindly reminded to focus on improving its content with all Christian love (and also actual viable sources) rather than soiling its content. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JurgenSchmurgenBurgen (talkcontribs) 05:10, 15 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Some of the removed materials were excessive in reliance on SaveOurShorter as a source and may have been imbalanced. I added sourcing to several secondary sources where these issues were reported in national media. Simply removing notable and significant content and whitewashing this page and the history of Shorter University without explanation is not acceptable.
