Shahrukh Khan: FilmographyShahrukh Khan filmographyWP:NCTR. No colon between Khan and filmography. History merge is also necessary. Secret of success (talk) 06:26, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

  • Don't remove the colon & please, most of all, do not write "filmography" instead of "Filmography" because a capital letter before a title makes it classy & more official. I shall be highly oblized to you for this act of kindness.--Napsync (talk) 19:18, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

Moved again

I have moved the article to the more encyclopedic-sounding Filmography of Shahrukh Khan. I hope there are no problems, but if you have any grievances, please contact me on my talk page. Cheers. ~*~AnkitBhatt~*~ 15:18, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

I reverted the move as undiscussed, no consensus and in bad form immediately after the close of an RM. Article moved protected for 60 days. --Mike Cline (talk) 20:56, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

Lead role?

Is it really necessary to add lead role on the notes (for almost all the films he played in)? I haven't seen any in other actors' filmography. Torreslfchero (talk) 13:22, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Shahrukh Khan gave a voice over to hindi dub for Pixar's The Incredibles. Any mention on that?

I tried to find this thing but found nowhere.

Shahrukh Khan gave his voice for Mr. Incredible for Pixar's the Incredibles. Shouldn't this achievement mentioned in this page? Please check this[1] link for more references.

Unsourced and non relevant content

Jthj2012 (talk · contribs) and a number of IPs continue to insert and reinsert a lot of unsourced content into the article in violation of WP:BURDEN.

In addition, this is the article about Shahrukh Khan filmography even if sourced, content about films that Khan HASNT appeared in have no place in this article (or any encyclopedia article actually). -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 23:09, 5 December 2013 (UTC)

UNDUE weight

This is an article about the FILMography of Shahrukh Khan - ie, films that have been made.

Content about films that have not yet been made or release is giving WP:UNDUE weight. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball to be making predictions about things that might happen in the future.

It is even more egregious UNDUE weight to be calling out these not yet existing films in a section of their own. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 11:24, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

Award functions

@Krimuk90: Technically speaking, the award shows are not made for only televisions. So he hosting such shows should not fall under his television work section. Khan is known to perform in private functions, like weddings, as well. Just because these shows have not been broadcasted, they are not included here. In my opinion, hosting of such shows should not be part of filmography. Does other stuff exist? Don’t tell me. But do tell me if this has been discussed elsewhere and still kept. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 07:13, 25 July 2014 (UTC)

I am not sure if something like this has been discussed before, or even if it needs any discussion. The award ceremonies are televised, so it obviously makes sense to list them under his television work section. Private functions are not televised, as they are private, so they haven't been listed. What's the issue here? -- KRIMUK90  07:39, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
Advertisements are also televised but not listed. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 08:41, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, that's a more valid concern. Since we don't have an exhaustive listing of all his commercials, and since including them is not compulsory for filmography pages, I have chosen not to list them here. -- KRIMUK90  09:15, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
And then there are no chat-show appearances too. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 11:28, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
Yes, and that's uniformly followed for all featured filmography pages. -- KRIMUK90  11:36, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
OSE! §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 11:49, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
Haha, more like other stuff doesn't exist! -- KRIMUK90  11:53, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
  • Christopher Walken filmography has his chat show appearances listed in a section excluding the Saturday Night Live ones. Jennifer Lopez filmography also has a "As a personality" section. Gyllenhall and Bale have their advertisements listed; although they are just 1 and 2 respectively. SRK's article itself has an "Endorsements" section. His ad-work is no less and hence seems quite vital to be part of filmography. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 13:18, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
Kindly refer to my previous comments on the issue. I don't want to repeat myself. But it's funny how your comments changed from questioning why some things were mentioned to how some were omitted. Just had to find some issue to nitpick on, didn't you? KRIMUK90  13:45, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
They are related. If you consider award functions suitable for filmography, I am trying to understand why other works are not considered so. Your reason for it was OSE and hence I brought other examples. And I seriously have better stuff to do than bother you and your articles. Good day! §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 09:38, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
@Dharmadhyaksha: These are not my articles. I don't own them. My reason for including award functions was not OSE. And neither was it my reason to exclude commercials. I repeat, I excluded commercials from Indian filmography pages because there are far too many of those appearances and not enough reliable sources to support them. More specifically, SRK has appeared in more than 60 commercials (probably many more), so it would be ridiculous to list them all here. And most important, it is not compulsory to include them. As for chat show appearances, they aren't notable enough to be in filmography pages, as the actors didn't exactly perform in them. If you still have doubts, open a general discussion for all filmography pages and don't just target one. I'm tired of some editors targetting the good work of their peers, instead of helping each other improve the encyclopaedia.-- KRIMUK90  10:29, 26 July 2014 (UTC)

Why no Mohabbatein

I have noticed there is no mention of Mohabbatein in the lead although Khan's role was acclaimed and won him the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor and a Best Actor nomination. Also, the film emerged a blockbuster, was critically acclaimed and won several awards. So, I think there has to be mention of the film in the lede.--85.167.232.112 (talk) 17:34, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

Well, we can't mention all of his films in the lead. And given his career, he has won awards and appeared in several blockbusters. So, some are bound to be left out. -- KRIMUK90  15:17, 11 October 2014 (UTC)

Linking fictional character "Kabir Khan" to Mir Ranjan Negi

@Yashthepunisher: Someone linked "Kabir Khan" to Mir Ranjan Negi. Even though the character "Kabir Khan" is inspired from this real life person, the film is not based on his life. So I don't think this linking is correct.Sid95Q (talk) 17:04, 4 April 2018 (UTC)

That person was wrong to do so. I don't understand why he did it. I've removed the link. ----Kailash29792 (talk) 17:11, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
@Kailash29792: Here is that problematic edit @I am aman goyal: also linked another fictional character with a real person. Sid95Q (talk) 20:38, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
