Talk:Sergei Zubatov

Untitled edit

I edited the Zubatov article because there were some factual errors. This was my first edit, and I'm afraid I've caused a problem. The photo of Zubatov was labeled "Colonel Zubatov." I removed the word "colonel" because he was in fact never a colonel but only a civil servant who attained the seventh rank (nadvornyi sovetnik). Unfortunately, by removing the word "colonel" I made the photo disappear. I'm not sure how to put it back. I am very sorry about this. Monarchism not same as oppression edit

It is not correct to say that "despite his deeply held monarchist convictions, Zubatov earnestly believed that repression alone could not crush the revolutionary movement". Repression is a policy adopted by any type of government, not specifically monarchist.203.80.61.102 (talk) 20:56, 29 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
