Sega Super GT → Scud Race

Scud Race was the intended name for this title, and it is so titled in every territory aside from North America. Only North America knows this game as Sega Super GT. Even though the majority of the gaming press is American (Gamespot, IGN et al.), Google still shows that Scud Race is more popular than Sega Super GT. - hahnchen 12:16, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

This article has been renamed from Sega Super GT to Scud Race as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 18:07, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Please note that the article name was altered back to "Sega Super GT" by someone without making any votation. Since the last vote on the matter was to rename the article, i propose to revert that condition. Also, I can note that the Wikipedia in English is also the Wikipedia for the people living in Great Britain, so it cannot be "Sega Super GT" the main name for English speakers, since in UK the game was called "Scud Race". --87.2.246.134 (talk) 19:45, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Material removed

I've removed the following as it does appear to be trivia - unimportant information.

• Each one of its sponsor that appears on the cars except Cica on the Viper are from the automotive oil industries, Gulf and Elf, who the latter has since been absorbed into Total, deals with petroleum and Igol manufactures lubricants.
• Screenshots of this game in flyers depict early versions of this game, the main difference being the font used for the lap numbers in the top left corner, and that the all of the courses originally had 4 or 5 laps (also, when the clock went under ten seconds during the race, it read "09", "08", "07", etc., but in the game itself (at least in North America), it reads "9", "8", "7", etc.) A bug in the position indicator does not change the lettering of "TH." For example, third place reads "3th."
• The Attract Mode and Selection Sceen musics are different when the game is linked with at least one other machine.

If someone disagrees, then I'm assuming they believe I'm wrong and it is actually important information. If so, that's cool, but you'll need to incorporate the info into the main article as by definition it's no longer trivia.

The following has been removed as it has no source:

• A tech demo of Scud Race was developed for an early prototype of the Dreamcast using the NEC ARC1A PowerVR chip. The game, however, was never released for the final commercial system.

A Sega Saturn port was planned, but then the project was moved to the Dreamcast and shown as a tech-demo in the Dreamcast Presentation in 1998, but then after the Dreamcast Presentation, the game was cancelled. Junk Police (talk) 04:27, 1 March 2009 (UTC) (reupdate)
