This article is missing credit for Sandrine Holt playing Pocahontas in the Canadian film by the same name

This is a great article but it's missing her role in the movie Pocahontas in which she delivered an outstanding performance as the legendary Indian Princess.

I watched it and it appears to be a Canadian production that was done to very high artistic and historical values. Visually, this film is a lesser known gem. I think however that overall the film needed a bigger budget, and unfortunately the plot therefore has a somewhat compressed and oversimplified quality, it also skips over Native/English language issues at some cost as well--

Nevertheless it's an excellent work in other ways (authentic native dress and very convincing early colonial ship and trappings, plus very high quality actors) and I felt that the time spent watching it was worth it. Holt's rendering of Pocahantas in particular is captivating and compelling.

Anyone who wants to see extremely authentic native actors and dress would enjoy this (yes I know Sandrine is Chinese and French, but she blends right in with a strong Native American cast). The romance between Pocahontas and John Smith is also well done and has electricty. Unfortunately the plot seems to be a budgetary victim (has a bit of that 'made for Television' oversimplification and pacing).

Her acting debut

The article currently states that her acting debut was in 1991, in the film Black Robe; the source says the same thing. However, she appeared in an episode of Friday the 13th: The Series, entitled "Face of Evil", in the series' second season, which was broadcast in 1988 and 1989. Birth name

The registers at FreeBMD ("Index entry". FreeBMD. ONS. Retrieved 14 April 2018.) give, in Births for the quarter of December 1972, Sandrine Vanessa Ho (mother's maiden name 'Nicolette'- this is also Sandrine Holt's daughter's name, and, given the statement of her mother being French, corroborates matters considerably), born at Croydon; added by hand at the bottom is 'Sandrine Claire Ho', again with 'Nicolette', and again at Croydon. One would imagine that, with the hand-written entry logically being presumably a later addition, Sandrine's middle name is therefore 'Claire' rather than 'Vanessa', but there is no definitive statement on the subject I could find. All other references I could locate indicate that she doesn't use a middle name or initial; one residential record of 2003 (17 Jan. to 5 Aug.) in Saratoga, California gives a 'Sandrine V. i assumed married name, but i see no evidence of that.

does she consistently use "ho" as a model and "holt" as an actress?

Degrees
